[Meiosis Thru Miosis]

With eyes wide open

you may see your dreams depart

As the world is full of pain

but you choose which you frame

and if you remain or regain

everything you planned for.

You see how life can get you down

but you gain a new perspective

there's respite in the middle ground

a shelter from the hatred that we all face.

With eyes wide open

Your attitude will change,

There's no good without bad,

There's no war without peace,

There's no love without hate,

They are our common battlefields,

where reward resides.

The invitation to find balance and unity

and where compromise moves the world.

With eyes wide open

you may see how you are coloured bad

but you can choose to split the difference

What was once was in shade now has hue

You see, there's always divide

Primary colours blend

in that shade in the middle ground

Harmony, clarity and the preservation of happiness

It is reason and compassion,

It is peace.
